Development status of radial piston hydraulic motors at home and abroad

Bignozzi motors from Italy, Chamberlain motors from the UK, and Jahns and Pleige motors from Germany are typical representatives of low-speed, high-torque hydraulic motors. Bignozzi motors from Italy, Chamberlain motors from the UK, and Jahns and pleige motors from Germany are typical representatives of low-speed, high-torque hydraulic motors. As some of the earliest low-speed, high-torque hydraulic motors, they possess high performance, a relatively compact motor structure, and are inexpensive. Currently, most of the world's motor products are hydraulic motors produced by these manufacturers. In addition, Japan has also made significant progress in this area, with companies such as Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., and others developing and producing a number of high-quality, high-performance low-speed, high-torque hydraulic motors.

Based on the introduction and absorption of advanced technologies from foreign low-speed, high-torque hydraulic motors, China has selectively chosen the structural dimensions and materials of hydraulic motors. Domestic experts have conducted detailed research on the friction pairs inside the low-speed, high-torque hydraulic motor structure, obtaining the basic theories of these friction pairs, providing a theoretical basis for experimental research and optimization. Compared with excellent foreign hydraulic motor products, domestic low-speed, high-torque hydraulic motors still have some shortcomings in terms of stability and overall reliability at high speeds, but significant progress has also been made. Numerous fruitful theoretical achievements have been obtained through continuous research and optimization of hydraulic motors. Domestic hydraulic motors have developed rapidly in recent decades, and their various performance indicators have been continuously improved. For example, hydraulic motors produced by companies such as Hanzhu Hydraulic Motor Co., Ltd. and Interm have a relatively large market share in China.

In the field of crankshaft-less, connecting rod-less radial piston hydraulic motors, foreign hydraulic motors, led by the Calzoni MR series from Italy and the Shimadzu HT series from Japan, have been put into mass production. In comparison, domestic Chinese companies have also made significant achievements in the research and production of this type of new motor in recent years. The JYM series hydraulic motors produced by Beijing Construction Machinery Plant, the YM-3.2 hydraulic motor developed by Shanghai Coal Machinery Institute, the JM-1600 motor produced by Beijing Crane Factory, and the GM1.3.9 motor developed by Lanzhou Petroleum Machinery Research Institute are typical representatives of this type of motor. Each of their products has its own performance characteristics and advantages, but also has its own disadvantages.
